RCP series Rogowski current probes (AC)
The RCP series Rogowski current probes are high-precision, flexible current probes for contactless measurement of alternating currents in power electronics, development, production and quality assurance.
They enable the reliable acquisition of highly dynamic current curves up to 12,000 Apk at a bandwidth of up to 30 MHz without significantly influencing the measuring circuit.
Thanks to the almost zero ohm insertion resistance , the probes are ideal for applications in which conventional current clamps or shunts would distort the measurement result. The flexible Rogowski coil also allows measurements in hard-to-reach places, on individual pins or in cramped assemblies.
All probes have a standardised BNC output (1 MΩ) and are therefore compatible with almost all oscilloscopes.

RCP-XS series - ultra-compact measurements
The RCP-XS series is characterised by an extremely small coil cross-section of just 1.6 mm .
It has been specially developed for pin-level measurements on semiconductors such as MOSFETs and IGBTs (TO-220, TO-247 etc.).

RCP-S Series - Universal power electronics
The RCP-S series is the all-rounder for development and diagnostic tasks in power electronics.
It combines high bandwidth with robust coil geometry and higher insulation voltage.

RCP-M series - Increased dielectric strength
The RCP-M series offers a higher insulation voltage with high bandwidth.

RCP-L series - high current & high voltage
The RCP-L series is designed for large conductor diameters, high voltages and harsh industrial environments .
With insulation voltages of up to 10 kVpk , it is particularly suitable for energy and grid applications.

Application notes
The cable to be measured should be positioned as centrally as possible in the coil in order to achieve maximum accuracy.
Strong external magnetic fields should be avoided to reduce measurement errors.
The Rogowski coil can also be used to detect interference or stray fields .
Before measuring, ensure that:
the oscilloscope is set to 1 MΩ input resistance
the probe is properly supplied with voltage
the coil is correctly closed

Measure the ID current of the MOSFET
The RCP series probes have excellent high-frequency measurement capabilities, easily handle high-speed signals and rapidly changing current waveforms, and help observe high-frequency harmonic components when measuring the ID current of MOSFETs.

BNC interface
The RCP Rogowski series has a standard BNC interface making it compatible with any oscilloscope from any manufacturer.

Different coil cross-sections
The cross-sectional diameter of the smallest coil is only 1.6 mm, allowing engineers to measure the current on the hard-to-reach parts of the circuit, for example on chips with narrow pin spacing such as TO-220, TO-47.
