Description
Fast GaN and SiC devices switch high voltages in a few nanoseconds. The resulting edges carry high-frequency harmonics, and on the high side of a bridge they sit on top of a fast-moving common-mode voltage. Conventional differential probes struggle with both.
This bundle pairs two instruments designed for that problem. The SigOFIT MOIP1000P isolates the signal over optical fibre and runs on laser power, with 108 dB CMRR at 1 GHz and an 85 kVpk common-mode voltage range. The Micsig MHO68-1000 records it with 1 GHz bandwidth, 12-bit resolution and 8 analogue channels. One system, one supplier, matched to 1 GHz.
Built for
- GaN, SiC and half/full-bridge design – high-side gate and switch-node measurements
- Motor drives and power converters – inverter legs, phase outputs and control signals on one screen
- Inverters, UPS and switching power supplies – development and validation
- Power device evaluation – switching behaviour with low input capacitance (< 3 pF)
- Current shunt measurements – small differential voltages on floating shunts
- EMI and ESD troubleshooting – floating measurements with high common-mode rejection
The probe: SigOFIT MOIP1000P (Gen 3)
Optical isolation removes the galvanic path between the measurement point and the oscilloscope. Gen 3 adds calibration-free operation, so you can start measuring without an auto-zero step.
- 1 GHz bandwidth, rise time ≤ 450 ps
- CMRR 180 dB at DC and 108 dB at 1 GHz
- 85 kVpk common-mode voltage range
- ±0.01 V to ±20 kV differential range with exchangeable tips
- Input capacitance < 3 pF; DC gain accuracy 1 %; zero drift < 0.1 %
- No auto-zero, no temperature drift, laser-powered for uninterrupted testing
- MCX and MMCX coaxial connections; 2 m fibre (custom lengths available)
- Ships with OP50 (±25 V) and OP5000 (±2500 V) attenuation tips
The oscilloscope: Micsig MHO68-1000
Eight channels at 12 bits let you see the isolated switch node next to gate drive, current and control signals in one acquisition, without stacking instruments.
- 1 GHz bandwidth, rise time ≤ 0.4 ns
- 8 analogue channels, 12-bit vertical resolution
- 6 GSa/s real-time sampling, 1800 Mpts memory
- Noise < 80 µVrms
- 16-inch multi-touch display (1920 × 1200) in a 3.52 cm thin housing
- BNC and Mic-OPI™ probe interfaces
- Serial decoding: RS-232/422/485/UART, CAN, CAN FD, LIN, SPI, I²C; ARINC-429 and MIL-STD-1553B optional
- Wi-Fi, LAN, USB 3.0/2.0, USB Type-C, HDMI; remote control via PC software and iOS/Android app
Why buy them together
- No bandwidth bottleneck. 1 GHz probe on a 1 GHz oscilloscope.
- Resolution where it counts. 12 bits and < 80 µVrms noise preserve detail in ringing, overshoot and small signals riding on large swings.
- Fast setup. A calibration-free probe and a ready kit of tips and connectors mean less preparation before the first measurement.
- Expandable. Add SigOFIT tips up to ±20 kV, or Micsig differential probes, Rogowski coils and current probes on the other seven channels.
